Once a sleepy agricultural town, Durham, North Carolina has seen three economic revolutions in its storied history. It began with Tobacco, where Durham's harvests were world renowned for their mild flavor. As regulation eventually increased on the Tobacco industry, the town shifted to electrical power generation, eventually powering much of America's east coast. Finally, in a far-sighted move of the 1950's, Durham replaced it's smoky coal-fired plants with a vision of research and sciences. Investment in high-tech infrastructure followed, establishing Durham as a leader in innovation. The Durham collection by Urban Ambiance pays tribute to this with a historic design, emphasized by rich, revitalized gold accents.
