3M Metallized Flexible Duct Tape 3350 is constructed with a 1.6 mil UL printed polypropylene foil backing and a strong, pressure sensitive cold weather acrylic adhesive with a temperature range of -40°F (-40°C) to 185°F (85°C). This tape is flame, moisture, UV and chemical resistant and is commonly used for sealing flexible ducts and connector systems in residential and commercial construction.

3M™ Metalized Flexible Duct Tape 3350 Silver, with its aggressive adhesive and durable backing, is ideal for closure and repair of flexible ducts and air connectors and securing flex duct-to-duct wrap facings and metal-to-metal connections. This tough, versatile tape seals and secures seams and joints for long-term durability in HVAC, appliance automotive, construction, general industrial, metalworking, MRO, transportation, and more. Its bi-axially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) backing provides improved strength and flexibility over oriented polypropylene (OPP) tapes, and the acrylic adhesive combines to give the tape the lasting endurance for a variety of applications including HVAC flexible duct work. The acrylic adhesive maintains a strong bond through a range of temperatures to provide long-term endurance. Thermally conductivity helps dissipate excess heat and keep the tape in place. This durable tape resists flame, moisture, weather, UV degradation, is chemical resistant, and carries a UL 181 B-FX Listing for Class 1 flexible duct sealing as well as UL 723 listing for duct sealing and general repairs.

Strength, moisture resistance, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, and clean removal impact the effectiveness of any duct tape. Two of three key factors that determine these factors are backing and adhesive. The thicker the backing, the greater tensile strength (the resistance to breaking under tension), moisture, and abrasion resistance provided. A rubber-based or synthetic rubber adhesive provides instant stick, a strong bond, and long-lasting hold, even in moist conditions.
